We’re inviting a small group of organizations to test the release candidate and shape 1.0. This is prerelease software — please read what’s expected before you apply. Your feedback directly shapes 1.0; there are no fake countdowns and no pressure.
Who should apply
Organizations on WordPress (PHP 8.1+, WP 6.4+), with a Stripe account, willing to test in Stripe test mode, and able to back up their site before installing.
What testers do
Install the RC, create a campaign, run one-time and monthly test donations, try branding and fee recovery, and tell us what’s confusing or broken.
What to expect
Release-candidate software — not production-final. Back up before installing, keep Stripe in test mode, and expect to give feedback. No production-readiness guarantee.
Known beta limitations
Please keep these in mind while testing.
- Stripe is the only gateway in this release. PayPal, Square, and Authorize.Net are planned via Donara’s gateway abstraction — not included yet.
- Recurring-management UI is limited. Core recurring giving works; a full self-service management surface is still expanding.
- WordPress privacy exporter/eraser integration for Donara’s custom tables may be incomplete — handle personal-data requests manually for now if needed.
- No automatic updates or licensing yet. You update by installing a newer package manually during beta.
- Certification scope. Certified on staging in Stripe test mode — not broad multi-host production certification. Treat it as a release candidate.
