Donara 1.0.0-rc.1 · Closed Beta

Fundraising software built to make giving simple.

Donara helps nonprofits and community organizations launch campaigns, accept one-time and recurring gifts, manage donors, and keep the giving experience simple — with no Donara platform fee on donations.

A WordPress donation plugin. Payments run through your own Stripe account — Donara never takes a cut of a donation.

Why Donara

Built for organizations, honest with donors.

Real differentiators — described precisely. Payment processor fees still exist; Donara simply doesn’t add its own fee on top of a donation.

0% Donara platform fee

Donara does not take a percentage of your donations. Revenue comes from software licenses and support — not from a skim on giving.

Transparent fee recovery

Donors can optionally cover processing costs. The amount is the exact processor offset — Donara keeps $0 margin — and it’s excluded from campaign progress.

Payments you can trust

Card fields are hosted by Stripe and tokenized. Donara never stores raw card numbers or CVC, verifies signed webhooks, and keeps test and live strictly separate.

Your donors, your data

Donor and donation records live in your own WordPress database. On uninstall, Donara preserves your financial data by default — erasing it is an explicit opt-in.

One-time and monthly

Accept single gifts or recurring monthly giving, with suggested amounts, custom amounts, and clear recurring disclosures before anyone is charged.

Make it look like you

Upload your logo and set your brand colors. Campaigns inherit your organization’s branding, and any campaign can override it when it needs to.

The giving experience

A checkout donors actually finish.

Choose an amount, pick one-time or monthly, and give — on any device. Everything a donor needs, nothing they don’t.

  • Suggested amounts, a custom amount, and a clearly-marked monthly option.
  • Optional processing-cost coverage, shown to the penny before giving.
  • Anonymous or private gifts, and an in-honor-of dedication.
  • A donation is only marked complete when Stripe’s signed webhook confirms it — never just because the browser reached a thank-you page.
Features

Everything you need to run a campaign.

A focused first release. We describe what’s in the closed-beta build — not a roadmap dressed up as finished features.

Campaigns

Goals, suggested amounts, custom gifts, statuses, and a public campaign page for each cause.

Donations

One-time and monthly, optional fee coverage, anonymous giving, and webhook-authoritative completion.

Donors

Donor records and giving history, with donor identity handled thoughtfully — no forced email merging.

Branding

Organization logo and colors, with clean campaign-level inheritance and overrides.

Payments

Stripe integration with a clean test/live architecture and provider-hosted, tokenized card collection.

WordPress-native

A Gutenberg block, a shortcode, and a dedicated campaign route — built the modern WordPress way.

Additional payment gateways, deeper recurring management, and reporting exports are planned and openly tracked — not advertised here as done.
