A focused first release. We describe what’s in the closed-beta build — not a roadmap dressed up as finished features. Payments run through your own Stripe account, and Donara never takes a platform fee on a donation.
Campaigns
Goals, suggested amounts, custom gifts, campaign statuses, and a public campaign page for each cause. Embed anywhere with a Gutenberg block or a shortcode.
Donations
One-time and monthly giving, optional processing-cost coverage, anonymous or private gifts, and completion that is confirmed by Stripe’s signed webhook — not by the browser reaching a thank-you page.
Donors
Donor records and giving history, with donor identity handled thoughtfully — no forced email merging that collapses distinct people into one record.
Branding
Upload your logo and set your brand colors. Campaigns inherit your organization’s branding, and any campaign can override it — clean inheritance, no copy-paste.
Payments
Stripe integration with a clean test/live architecture and provider-hosted, tokenized card collection. Donara never stores raw card numbers or CVC.
Receipts
Transactional donation receipts sent once per completed gift, driven by the same webhook truth that marks a donation succeeded.
Reporting
Campaign performance and donation views, with exports where currently available — so you can see what’s working and account for every gift.
WordPress-native
A Gutenberg block, a shortcode ([donara_campaign id="…"]), and a dedicated campaign route — built the modern WordPress way, with no page-builder dependency.
Your data, preserved
Donor and donation records live in your own WordPress database. On uninstall, Donara keeps your financial data by default — erasing it is an explicit, irreversible opt-in.
Additional payment gateways (PayPal, Square, Authorize.Net), a deeper recurring-management surface, and broader reporting exports are planned via Donara’s existing gateway abstraction — openly tracked, and not advertised here as complete.
